We are a registered integrated co-educational day school catering for all years - from 0 to 13. The school exists principally to provide high quality Christian education, in harmony with the beliefs, values, lifestyle and commitment of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Emphasis is placed on the development of a Christian character and a life of service in the community. We are one of a number of Seventh-Day Adventist schools in New Zealand and Australia, and many of our students have gone on to study at Avondale College , our denomination's own registered tertiary provider, in NSW. Other students have gone on to Canterbury and Lincoln Universities, Christchurch Polytech, and other tertiary institutes. All our staff are dedicated Christians, with suitable qualifications in, and a passion for, their area of education. Having smaller class sizes than many schools also allows teachers to get to know each student, what their strengths and weaknesses are, and how best to help them advance. A number of our teachers were also once students at Christchurch Adventist School, showing the family feel that our school posesses. Our school encourages the development of a love of service in our students, and every year 12 student has the opportunity to partake in a service trip to help less fortunate schools in the pacific islands. Past trips have been to islands off Vanuatu, Samoa, Rarotonga, and Fiji (check out photos in the gallery). The students develop responsibility through the planning and fundraising, and discover the joy of improving the conditions of others less fortunate than themselves. Our school aims to treat all who come through our doors with respect, whether students, staff, parents, or other community members.
