Our school has a Christian world-view, and so we interpret the world around us in according to this. We teach material required by the national curriculum, but in such a way that it is in harmony with our belief that we are created and creative beings, that the world around us was created by a loving God, and that the study of the world around us, be it scientific, artistic, social, physical etc, can lead us to a greater understanding of our Creator.

Biology: The living world shows us more of our creative God, in the diversity of life He has made, and the many adaptations that life can make to continue in living and reproducing, kind after kind.
Chemistry: We can study building blocks of life that our creator has used. We can also study ways of producing substances that help mankind, and are kinder to the created world than currently used materials. (eg production of Biodiesel from waste materials, producing zero net carbon dioxide emmisions.)
English: The study of such classic Christian texts as 'the Lion, the witch and the wardrobe', and 'Pilgrim's Progress', alongside secular literature contrasts the Christian against other world-views, highlighting both the differences and similarities, as well as growing or strengthening the faith of the students.
Social studies: From the studies of other cultures and of history we can learn to appreciate other views of the world, how the world has become the way it is, and learn from the triumphs and mistakes of the past.
